Kick off the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle weekend with an exclusive running tour and Q&A with Deena Kastor.
Members of the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Distance Series Entries for Equity program are invited to an evening with American record holder and author Deena Kastor.
Join Read & Run Chicago, Fleet Feet Chicago, and the Bank of America Chicago Distance Series for a special Read & Run Chicago Running Tour inspired by Deena Kastor’s book Let Your Mind Run, followed by a live Q&A with Deena herself. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Fleet Feet South Loop (150 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60605).
Led by guide Cindy Kuzma, this three-mile tour (12:00 minute per mile pace) brings to life key moments from Deena’s races in Chicago, while introducing some of the mindset tools she used to become one of the most accomplished distance runners in U.S. history.
Along the route, you’ll be introduced to mental-strength exercises designed to help you prepare for the upcoming Bank of America Chicago Distance Series races—including the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle.
After the run, gather at Fleet Feet South Loop for an intimate conversation and Q&A with Deena Kastor.
Whether you’re training for the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle, Chicago 13.1, the Chicago Marathon, or all three, you’ll leave with practical mindset strategies and inspiration from one of the sport’s most celebrated athletes.
