Join Read & Run Chicago to celebrate the Grand Opening of our first Little Free Library!

Join Read & Run Chicago on Thursday, August 13 at 6:30 PM at the house of Read & Run Chicago volunteer Francisco Peralta, 3018 W 54th Street, for a special evening of movement and literature to celebrate the grand opening of our first Little Free Library.
We’ll kick off the evening with an optional one-mile walk or run to Bienestar by Gage Park Latinx Council (GPLXC), on 5251 S Kedzie Ave before we unveil the library. After, meet the teen artist who painted our library and learn about the teen woodworker and Chicago Parks District program that built our library. All ages welcome. Light refreshments provided.
If you’re able, please bring gently used books to donate–preferably books about Chicago, in Spanish, and/or by Latinx authors.

This evening is hosted by the Read & Run Chicago Special Projects Committee and the Little Free Library in Gage Park is thanks to the efforts of the Chicago Park District’s Teen Woodworking Shop at the Lincoln Park Cultural Center.
Únete Read & Run Chicago el jueves, 13 de agosto a las 6:30 PM en 3018 W 54th Street para una tarde de movimiento y literatura para celebrar la gran inauguración de la Pequeña Biblioteca Gratuita de Read & Run Chicago en Gage Park.
Empezamos la celebración con una caminata o carrera opcional de una milla hasta Bienestar by GPLXC (5251 S. Kedzie Ave) antes de revelar Pequeña Biblioteca Gratuita. Conoce la artista adolescente que pintó la biblioteca, aprende sobre el carpintero adolescente y el programa del Chicago Parks District que construyó nuestra biblioteca. Todas las edades son bienvenidas. Se ofrece algo pequeño de comer y tomar.
Si puedes, lleva libros ligeramente usados para donar–con preferencia para libros sobre Chicago, en español, y/o por autores latinxs.
