Join Read & Run Chicago and Family Style Run Club for a special literary-inspired guided run featuring Kara Eng, author of Not Just a Simple Chinese Girl and Sweet ‘n’ Sour! Kara, a lifelong Chicagoan with deep roots in the Bridgeport and Chinatown neighborhoods, will lead us on a fun run through the streets of Chinatown, sharing insights on how this community has shaped her storytelling.

We'll also have Chicago Books to Women in Prison on site, so please plan to bring any donations to drop off before or after the guided route! Here are the donation requirements.

What to Expect:
📖 A 3-mile guided run led by Kara Eng
🏙️ A route highlighting iconic Chinatown landmarks and focusing on culture, identity, and storytelling
🎤 A post-run author meet-and-greet and book sales of both Kara’s books
👟 A fun, welcoming atmosphere for runners and book lovers alike

No prior reading required!
