Chicago Transit Hikes-Inspired Trail Run in Thatcher Woods with Arc'Teryx

Arc'teryx is partnering with Read & Run Chicago to host a trail run inspired by Lindsay Welbers' book, Chicago Transit Hikes. This guidebook details some of the best trails Chicagoland has to offer and history, context, and fun facts about how they came to be, and the fascinating natural phenomenons, people and events that made them--PLUS how to get to them via public transportation (CTA, Metra, South Shore, etc.). Whoever says us Chicagoans aren't outdoorsy is sorely mistaken!

We'll meet at Thatcher Woods for an easy-paced 3-mile trail run with Read & Run Chicago founder Allison Yates, followed by a post-run afterparty at Arc'teryx Oakbrook Center with light refreshments and shopping. In the spirit of Chicago Transit Hikes, we encourage runners to arrive via the Metra or another form of public transportation.

Meet at 6pm on Thursday, May 25 at the parking lot at Thatcher Woods (Enter via Chicago Avenue). If you're taking the metra, get off at the River Forest stop and run/walk around 17 minutes to the parking lot.
